What is "Trust"??? We see it on our currency. We hear it all the time. Some believe it is the foundation of faith, and of marriage. Others might go out on a limb and say it's jumping off a cliff blindfolded, donating to a charity, tithing to a church, or helping the needy without expecting anything in return. Is it a sense of entitlement? or a responsibility? Is it a necessity? or 100% assurance or reliance???

Trust is interpreted from many definitions as "the reliance on the integrity, strength, ability or surety of a person or thing. Hope,.. to believe.

The two words that I gathered from the meaning of "trust" that I also wanted to know the character of were "hope" and "believe".

"Hope" is the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that situations, occurrences or events will turn out for the best; to "believe", or trust; to have faith in the reliability, or honesty of.

"Believe" is to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something without proof.

While identifying the essential qualities of "Hope" and "Believe", I begin to wonder the meaning of "faith". which is explained as "confidence or trust in a person or thing, or belief that is not based on proof."

I notice that "trust" was in the meaning of "faith", and that "believe" was in the character of the words "trust", "faith", and "hope". I also noticed in the above that the word "faith" was in the meaning of "hope", and "hope" was in the meaning of "trust".

What Is My Point? Where Am I Going With All Of This????

-If you haven't noticed, all of these words link like a chain, which would imply that you cannot have one without having the other!!! Trust can become a very complicated subject, simply because it is so commonly misunderstood, for trust, based on my research, is not knowing, but rather having faith that one is secure, or believing that something will happen accordingly. The fact of the matter is that Trust is not based on proof or facts, or truth, but rather on hope and faith, believing.
